DEC Region 4 Announces Temporary Closure of Thompson Lake Fishing Access Site Parking Lot

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) today announced the temporary closure of the parking lot at Thompson Lake Fishing Access Site off NY Route 157 in the Town of Berne, Albany County. The closure is due to preventative sealcoating maintenance to improve safety and extend the life of the parking area.

The parking lot will be closed beginning Thursday, October 8, 2026, with an anticipated reopening on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
